One of the most common asked questions is can you access the internet if you have a virtual private network enabled. That is a very good question and it has a really simple answer and that is yes. VPN internet access is possible and can be configured when you setup your network so you can still get online like you use to. Many times people don’t configure that in when they design their network and thus you have frustrated employees. VPN internet access can be very important if your working on something and need some vital information off the internet. I will cite an example.
Let’s say your working on a medical paper for your company and need to add some information to it. With VPN internet access you can get the information you need to finish your work. Now it’s true you can close the VPN connection and than connect to the internet, but that can be a real hassle and losing any information is never something you want to do. Have internet access by VPN is very important. VPN access is important especially if you use the internet for research. I don’t know how many times I’ve been on a VPN network and it didn’t have VPN internet access and I would have to save my document and then reopen it after I found the information and add it to the document. Having both the VPN and VPN internet access configured in makes life so much easier and a lot faster it cuts down on time it takes to do things. Everyone wants to get the job done as soon as possible. I know I sure do. As you can see, VPN internet access is also possible with a VPN network. It does take a little more time and isn’t as hard as people may want you to believe. Hopefully more and more people will configure it in and businesses will see the advantages of having it together instead of having in separate. If everyone would have it together imagine all the time business and individuals would save. Besides that think about all the extra work we could get done and wouldn’t have to take it home for the weekend and do it. I’m all for more time to myself and can’t name someone who isn’t.
