Many people will wonder what DSL reports are? For the longest time I did to, until I learned a lot about them. DSL reports are something everyone who is planning on switching from Dial-up to Dsl should know about. DSL reports are important for a number of reasons. We will look why these reports are liked by consumers. But companies don’t like them very much.
First and foremost DSL reports are not something you will hear DSL companies talking about and even if you ask them they will tell you they don’t know what your talking about. DSL reports are reports on DSL providers and how their service is and pitfalls to avoid and who is a good DSL provider and who isn’t. Companies hate that because they can hide some of the shortcomings they could have in their service. I will cite an example for you. Let’s say a company has a lot of downtime on their DSL, they sure doesn’t want this coming out as you are more likely not to buy service from them. As you can see, this could really hurt their business. Now on the other end the consumer loves DSL reports for a number of reasons. DSL speed reports shows all the speeds of the different DSL carriers and they are not all created equal and that isn’t something they want people to know. As consumers we want to know everything we can before we make a purchase and DSL reports are a very important part of that. I’m kinda of surprised that DSL carriers haven’t infiltrated the website to put their own DSL reports up. How long will DSL reports last is anyone’s question as I don’t know how long companies that give DSL service let this continue to go on. We know as consumers how companies a lot of times don’t want to be honest and tell us the truth about their products. Hopefully DSL reports will still be around and consumers will be able to read them and find out everything they need to know before they make a purchase and are upset because they didn’t get what they were promised. I hope DSL reports are around for a long time and maybe this will start a trend and we will see other reports on other things for consumers shortly.
