What is DSL is a question that you will get a lot theses days so let’s try to give you some good answers? DSL is a service offered that allows high speed access to the internet. DSL gives you between 25 and 50 times the speed of dial-up. DSL doesn’t require you to login as it’s constantly on. What is DSL still confuses people as they have it confused with high speed internet. What is DSL isn’t the same as a broadband connection which I think still confuses a lot of people.
What is DSL and broadband? DSL like I said before uses a phone provider while a broadband uses a cable connection. What is DSL is hard for people to understand sometimes as most have never had faster internet connections than dial-up. More and more people are learning What Is DSL. This helps then better prepare for what they want and need in an internet connection. DSL is starting to lose it base as cable connections are grabbing more and more of the market. I see DSL taking a bigger hit as more people become familiar with broadband connections. Another big question that I always run into is what is a DSL modem. People sometimes don’t realize what a modem is or what it does. A modem is the device that receives your internet connection and filters it through your computer. DSL modems are using small boxes connected to your phone jack and the back of your computer. The one good thing about DSL modems are they are small and size so you can put them most anywhere. People with DSL are very loyal as they don’t realize that there are faster connections available to themselves. Looking at DSL and you can see that more and more companies are trying to phrase out DSL as they are converting over to broadband connections. With lower prices for broadband connections being given I don’t see how DSL will be able to compete with broadband connections. I guess we will have to see if it works. Dial-up faced the same thing when DSL was introduced and dial-up is slowly dying away, in fact I don’t know any of my friends who still use dial-up connections. It will be interesting to see where these things end when were said and done.
